The event took place on October 14th at 5:30 pm. The EACD Regional Debate was introduced by Axel J. Schafmeister, EACD Regional Coordinator for Switzerland, who welcomed all participants and gave a short presentation on the European Association of Communication Directors. Following this, Médard Schoenmaeckers spoke about the growing need for agricultural output, and how to lead the debate using a thought leadership agenda. After a short break, Wolfram Eberhardt spoke about how to communicate the debate on climate change to a media which is currently preoccupied with the financial crisis. At the end of the evening, there was a get-together, and a chance for communication professionals to relax and network with their peers.
