Review of the European Communication Summit 2010
Between July 2nd and 3rd, over five hundred communications professionals gathered in Brussels to attend the European Communication Summit, which is the highlight of the European Association of Communication Directors’ calendar. New EACD Board Elected
The EACD has a new Board! At the General Assembly, held on July 2nd after the European Communication Summit 2010, members gathered at SQUARE in to discuss the current development and future outlook of the Association. Full members of the EACD were asked to vote on the EACD President, the Vice-Presidents, the Treasurer and the Assessors. ... more
European Communication Monitor 2010 Published
On the second day of the European Communication Summit 2010, Prof. Dr Ansgar Zerfass presented the findings of the European Communication Monitor 2010. The full findings of this year's survey, which over 1,950 communicators from 46 countries took part in, are available on the EACDnet. The printed version will be sent out to all EACD members and survey participants in the near future. ... more
EACD has Two New Working Group Heads
At the European Communication Summit 2010, two new EACD Working Group Heads were announced. Josep Catllà Planas (Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs, sanofi-aventis España) took over the reins at the Working Group Health, replacing Gloria Pujol de Pablo-Blanco. Philip Springuel (Communications and Business Development Manager, European Food Information Council) has replaced Laura Smillie as the Head of the Working Group Risk and Crisis Communications. ... more
Marchionne wins European Communication Award
Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat, has received the fourth annual European Communication Award, which was presented by the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD) at a gala ceremony in Brussels in front of an audience of over 300 prominent professionals. The award was presented in recognition of the impact his communications strategy had upon the resurgence of Chrysler, the struggling American auto manufacturer who Fiat were charged with returning to profitability. ... more
