First ECM 2009 Results to be presented

First ECM 2009 Results to be presented

On July 3rd, at 14:00, Prof Dr Ansgar Zerfaß will present the first highlights from the findings of the European Communication Monitor 2009, which is the most comprehensive international survey of the profession in Europe. This year over 1,850 communications professionals participated in the study, from over thirty countries, which is an increase of 20% upon last years figures for the number of respondents.

The first results will be presented as part of the European Communication Summit 2009, which will be held in Brussels, at the Hotel Renaissance (for more information on this, please see www.communication-summit.eu). The complete findings will be published in book form in September 2009, and this will be available for free for EACD Members.

The survey is run by professors from 11 renowned universities within the framework of European Public Relations Education and Research Association (EUPRERA), together with the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD) and Communication Director Magazine. It collates the data collected from PR professionals across 34 countries, which was obtained during May 2009.

The results of the survey will outline facts and opinions related both to employment, and the state of the communications industry as whole. What major challenges will the future present for PR professionals? Which strategies are most relevant during the current economic crisis? How influential are communicators within their organisations? How much money do they earn? The answers to these questions, and more, will be revealed in the European Communication Monitor 2009.
