New Head of Working Group ‘Transport’ Announced
During the European Communication Summit, Max Obenaus was appointed as the new head of the European Association of Communication Directors’ Working Group ‘Transport’. He replaces Françoise Humbert, who was the previous head of the Working Group. He presently holds the role of Head of Communications at UNIFE, which is the professional association of the European Rail Industry.
Before taking his current position, Mr Obenaus worked for Helios Media publishing house, where he headed the group’s Brussels office, helping to establish European Agenda magazine as a major presence on the Brussels media scene. He began his career as an Editor at Deutsch Welle TV in Berlin. He has also worked as a freelance writer, publishing articles on the political and cultural life of the German capital.
The EACD Working Groups aim to pool the knowledge of the association’s members within a particular field of interest. Their goals are to establish cross-institutional networks within specific fields and to develop and enhance topic-related standards. Members of the EACD convene regularly for workshops and meetings on specific topics. They work jointly on papers and guidelines for specific issues.
