EACD Third Anniversary: Regaining Trust

The third anniversary of the European Association of Communication Directors on the 12th and 13th of November will focus on the main challenge for communicators today: managing and recovering reputations, and regaining public trust.

The Anniversary celebrations will be divided into three sections:

There will be a two-day conference on Regaining Trust: Reputation Management through Strategic Communication, which will be held at the Renaissance Hotel in Brussels. This will provide case studies of reputation excellency and trust recovery, share the experiences of companies that have been under the spotlight during the financial crisis and outline the dynamics of trust. There are a range of expert speakers, from the worlds of business, consultancy and academia.

On the evening of the 12th of November, the EACD will host its traditional anniversary reception at BNP Paribas Fortis, which will feature the annual Anniversary Discussion. This year's discussion will be on 'The Internet as a Reputation Trap', where experts will examine the challenges of contemporary communications in an increasingly complex media environment.

The EACD Working Groups will also take the opportunity provided by the conference to host meetings for EACD members. At the end of the first day's conference programme, before the Evening programme starts, six of the Groups will host discussions for both members and other interested parties: Corporate Social Responsibility, EU Institutions, Evaluation, Finance and Insurance, Risk & Crisis Communications and Transport.
