New EACD Social Network launched
The European Association of Communication Directors launched its new social network, the EACDnet, in time for the European Communication Summit 2010, which was being held on July 1st and 2nd in Brussels. The network will gradually replace the old intranet section of the website, and includes community features, which you may be familiar with from other social networking sites, such as Xing, Facebook and LinkedIn.
Members can add their existing contacts from within the network, as well as make new contacts, and share specialised information with their peers. They will be able to register for events and review presentations from all EACD conferences, as well as view articles from Communication Director magazine on the new site. Each Regional and Working Group will have its own platform to lead discussions and develop new projects.
The site will be undergoing an extensive period of testing over the coming months, and the EACD would welcome any feedback from members on the site. The EACDnet will facilitate contact between the over 1,400 EACD members across 40 countries, allowing for the efficient sharing of knowledge and events to benefit the European communications industry.
