The EACD Working Group Evaluation will meet on occasion of the EACD Kick-Off Day on June 24th 2015, the day before the European Communication Summit.

Coordinators Thierry Nicolet and Louis de Schorlemer invite members and peers to join for the Evaluation Working Group meeting to discuss "Evaluation in Times of Crisis".

The meeting will take place at the Square from 15.00 to 17.30.

The great challenge for communicators in times of crisis is managing emotions. The accurate words and the appropriate tone can reassure, fortify and reveal leadership. To do so, it is particularly critical to take the pulse of the public and assess its emotional state.

We are delighted to announce our speakers:

Michel Salion, CEO of Manifeste will share his impressions from earlier this year, where he assumed media relations for Charlie Hebdo, the satirical French weekly. Manager of Burson-Marsteller’s Public Affairs department (1991-1999), associate at Harrison & Wolf Corporate (1999-2002) prior to founding Manifeste in 2002. Over the years, Michel has gained in-depth experience through his work with companies exposed to industrial and sanitary risks or opinion campaigns in handling difficult and sensitive situations (boycott, products recalls, downsizing). As a result of his experience in communication in crisis situations, he became deeply interested in the issues involved with the power of stake holders and the emergence of corporate social responsibility. A French and Greek national, Michel Salion holds a Master in Political Sciences from University Paris I.
