Meet the Speakers
Jonathan Bean, Chief Marketing Officer, Mynewsdesk
Jonathan leads the Marketing & Growth organisation at Mynewsdesk. Previously he was Chief Operating Officer during Mynewsdesk's rapid growth journey. Prior to joining Mynewsdesk roles have included being part of the European management team at PR Newswire, United Business Media. Jonathan has an MBA from Henley Business School and an Honours Degree in media and communications from Leeds University. Father of 3, Husband of 1 and lover of all things PR, Marketing, Digital and Disruptive.
Lieven de Maertelaere, Manager BU Media, Belga News Agency
Lieven De Maertelaere will talk about Storytelling in a digital age. In this session, participants will learn how to tell a story in the digital age that stands out, captures people’s attention and gets them to act and engage with your organization or brand.
Lieven has been working for Belga News Agency for 10 years now. He’s currently manager of the Business Unit Media after being Chief News+ (=Multimedia) and Newsmanager, both for several years. Prior to Belga, he was working as an editor/journalist at local television station TV Oost, radio NRJ, radio Q-Music and commercial TV-station VTM (news programs). Lieven has a degree in nursing but managed to turn his passion for media into a career. In his little spare time - Lieven and his wife Liesbeth have 3 small daughters - he’s still making radio at Vrije Radio Belsele.
