The EACD is happy to announce the upcoming Brand Management working group session in London on February 9th 2016 from 2.30pm to 6.00pm GMT. Together with you and our two speakers working group coordinator Marc Cloosterman will explore the overarching theme of ‘strategic views on the future of brand management’.

We are happy to announce our two speakers:

Ije Nwokorie, Global CEO of Wolff Olins will speak about: "Making a mess. How the business of branding is less straightforward than ever and better for it."

Wolff Olins is a brand consultancy, based in London, New York City, Dubai and San Francisco. Founded in 1965, it now employs 150 designers, strategists and account managers, and has been part of the Omnicom Group since 2001. The company specialises in creating positive social impact for clients, developing brand experiences, creatively led business strategies, and visual identity systems. Ije joined Wolff Olins in 2006 as a strategy director and became Managing Director of the European Hub in 2010. Ije is obsessed with using collaborative techniques to build great teams that do remarkable things and drive growth. Ije is focused on the role of technology in how people use and interact with brands, working closely with the leaders of Skype, Expedia, EE, Orange and other consumer tech companies to make their brands more relevant in a rapidly changing world. Ije studied architecture at Columbia University before moving into several strategy and innovation roles in electronic gaming, consumer services and technology. His is also an active advisor to numerous technology start-ups in UK and Africa. Ije has recently taken up speed cycling although he much prefers looking at his Condor bike than riding it.

Patrick Stal, Global Marketing Director of TomTom Bandit will speak about: "The future of branding at brands that are working on the future – or a hands-on perspective of how it has to get messy before it gets cleaner." TomTom has always empowered movement. Every day millions of people around the world depend on TomTom to make smarter decisions. Best known for being a global leader in navigation and mapping products, TomTom also creates GPS sports watches, as well as state-of-the-art fleet management solutions and industry-leading location-based products. It has also recently released the world’s most innovative action camera with the TomTom Bandit. As Global Marketing Director for the TomTom Bandit I work with a broad team of product, marketing and sales experts to drive our revolution of the Action Camera market. Whilst being analytically rigorous, I thrive on the energy of executing sound business strategy and am driven by creating lasting change. I have previously worked with leading brands in technology, retail, fashion, automotive, and financial services across the world including: Asics, Ahold, Philips, ABN AMRO, AEGON, bpost, Etos, Opel / Vauxhall, Gucci, Escada, de Bijenkorf, Vroom & Dreesman, Globus, Breuninger, Intersport, Abercrombie & Fitch, Scapino, Manfield, Dolcis, ProSport, Etos and AL Maktaba. After graduating with a Cum Laude Honours Masters of Science (MSc) degree in General Management from Nyenrode Business University, I had challenged myself in a management consulting career that has come to include my passion for branding.
