The EACD offers coaching days, whereby qualified speakers offer an intensive two- or three-hour training session, in the form workshops, for communicators interested in learning in depth about a particular aspect of communications. We're delighted to announce our next Coaching Day in Portugal which will be about "On Lobby & Public Affairs | A transparent added-value strategic manner of managing political communication and Issues Management". About the speakers:
With a strong Public Affairs background, Yolanda Roman holds a Law degree from the University of Deusto (Spain) and a LLM on European Union Law from CEU (France).
Expert in advocacy and corporate diplomacy, she has been responsible for lobbying and campaigning in major international organizations in the non-profit sector. She currently leads the Public Affairs team of Inforpress, devoted to successfully navigate clients through the many pathways of policy, regulatory, political and media environments, in strategic and regulated sectors (energy, environment, health).
She collaborates with several Spanish universities as visiting professor and also with the Spanish Ombudsman, as member of an Advisory Council on matters of fundamental rights.
Besides her native Spanish, she speaks English and French fluently.
Jorge Cerveira Pinto is an invited expert and consultant in several EU programmes and institutions. He has been working since 1990 with the European Union Institutions and other International organizations based in Brussels, in the development of international projects and partnerships. Since 1995, has worked as Accredited Lobbyist to the European Parliament. He has been registered has professional consultant, In-house lobbyists and trade/professional association representative and non-governmental organisations, platforms and networks and similar representative. Academically, he is invited professor in several universities, both in Portugal and abroad in the field of marketing. Main sectors of experience: Programme and Project Management; Monitoring and Evaluation; Public Sector Reforms, Results Based Management and Performance Management; Public sector capacity building; Strategy and Planning; Governance and accountability; Private Sector Development Small and Medium Enterprises; Business Development Services and Entrepreneurship; Trade; Culture; Youth and education; Urbanisation.He is board member in several not-for-profit associations and foundations.
Nurul Ashiqin Shamsuri is a Managing Director of Ethic Construction and Trading S/B and Director of Lubri Oil Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd. Graduated with Bachelor of Legal Studies (Hons) from Mara University of Technology (Kuala Lumpur) in 2006, she later joined NCL Solutions Sdn Bhd as Sales Manager. While with NCL Solutions Sdn Bhd, she gained her international business experience by working in few countries and regions like Greece, China, South East Asia and Middle East. A few years later she pursued her Masters Degree at Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam) and graduated with Masters of International Business Law (LL.M) in 2009. After graduation, she joined the exclusive Summer School in Geneva organized by World Intellectual Property Organization – part of the United Nation (UN). In 2010, she came back to Kuala Lumpur to give her full commitment to Lubri Oil Corporation as its Chief Executive Officer until 2014 before stepping down and resuming her duty as Director.
