The EACD cordially invites you to an expert panel discussion which will take place in Brussels on Thursday, January 29th from 18:30 – 21:30.
The European capital has experienced important changes during 2014. The European Parliament elections in May and the Spitzenkandidaten campaign augured the arrival of a new political era. On 15 July the European Parliament appointed Jean Claude Juncker to succeed Jose Manuel Barroso as president of the European Commission on 1 November, and this resulted in a significant restructuring of the College of Commissioners.
With so much happening in the institutions over the past few months and on the European political landscape, there are likely to be changes in the way European institutions communicate to key stakeholders in Brussels and beyond. In light of this, the European Association of Communications Directors (EACD) is proud to bring together the key institutional spokespersons for this expert panel discussion.
We’re delighted to already announce our first panelists:
- Preben Aamann, Spokesperson, European Council
- Jaume Duch, Spokesperson, European Parliament
- Matteo Maggiore, Director of Communications, European Investment Bank
- Margaritis Schinas, Spokesperson, European Commission
These key institutional spokespersons will come together to share their thoughts about the challenges facing Europe as a new political era is ushered in.
The panel will be moderated by EACD Coordinator Oliver Herrgesell, SVP Communications, Turner Broadcasting
This event is generously sponsored by our partner, Ellwood Atfield, the leading European firm of recruitment consultants specialising in the communications sector. Attendance is free of charge.
This event will be held at: The Press Club Brussels Europe Rue Froissart 95 1040 Brussels Belgium.
