EACD Regional Debate in Hungary

Wednesday 19 November 2014
K&H Bank

The EACD is happy to invite you to our next Regional Debate in Hungary which will take place on November 19th, 10am, at K&H Bank in Budapest.
The topic of the debate will be "Communication of art or art of communication?". We look forward to welcoming our guest speaker Zsolt Bátori.
About the speaker:
Zsolt Bátori is a philosopher and photographer working in Budapest, Hungary. He received his PhD degree at Rutgers University, NJ, USA, and he is now an associate professor at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, teaching communication and philosophy courses. His main focus is on visual communication and the visual arts, especially photography. Besides his work in philosophy, communication and photography he is also the founder and director of a new contemporary photography gallery in Budapest. Curating international juried exhibitions in PH21 Gallery also involves designing the communication strategy of the gallery and writing reviews about the exhibitions.
PH21 Gallery is a contemporary photography exhibition space established in 2012 in Budapest, Hungary. The mission of the gallery is to provide group and solo exhibition opportunities and international exposure for contemporary photographers around the world. To this end we invite emerging and established photographers to participate in our regular calls for entries for solo and themed group exhibitions. We have hosted a number of inspiring shows since we opened, and we have had the honour of exhibiting works of talented photographers from all corners of the world. PH21 Gallery archives all photography exhibitions, allowing us to promote our exhibiting photographers to curators and collectors as well as the viewing public. Our website also functions as a virtual gallery site, and all photographs included in our exhibitions are presented on the dedicated page of the exhibition.
The event will take place at K&H Bank, 1095 Budapest, Lechner Ödön fasor 9.
As always this debate is free of charge, compliments of the EACD.
