The EACD is happy to invite you to our upcoming Regional Debate in Switzerland, which will take place on Tuesday, May 20th from 10.40am to 6.30pm at CERN's main site in Geneva, Switzerland.

The topic of our event will be "How do we keep the attention of journalists and the general public focussed on us years after the big discovery?"
We look forward to welcoming our speaker:
- James Gillies, Head of Communications, CERN
James Gillies holds a doctorate in physics from the University of Oxford, and began his research career working at CERN in the mid-1980s. In 1993, he left the field of research to become Head of Science with the British Council in Paris. He returned to CERN in 1995 as a science writer. He has been Head of the Organization's communications team since 2003, and he is also the co-author of "How the Web was Born;, published back in 2000 and described by the London Times as one of the year's ten best books recommended for inquisitive minds.
