The EACD is delighted to invite its members to an interesting Roundtable Discussion exploring the latest developments in the changing landscape of media and journalism. The event will take place in London on May 13th.
Many areas of the media are facing major challenges: magazines and newspapers are shutting down and journalists are losing their jobs. The media have to adapt to these changes. They have less money and less time for research, writing and editing. At the same time, new communication platforms emerge almost every week, opening potential new approaches to the various target groups. With digitisation and social networks, the next story is only a click away. And every story, good or bad, written by a professional and unbiased journalist or by a windbag, may travel at the speed of light around the globe. How much of the change is real and how much is hoax? Inspired by two senior journalists from the media beat, the Working Group „Future Of The Media“ will discuss these issues and the consequences for communicators on 13 May at the offices of Time Warner in London.
We look foward welcoming our members at this meeting!
