In May 2015, the European Commission published its Better Regulation Package. Better regulation is about designing EU policies and laws so that they achieve their objectives at minimum cost. It ensures that policy is prepared, implemented and reviewed in an open, transparent manner, informed by the best available evidence and backed up by involving stakeholders.
In this context, the Commission is providing more opportunities for citizens and for stakeholders to voice their views at different stages of the policy development cycle. How to make the most of the Commission's stakeholder consultations?
EACD Working Group Coordinator Bela Dajka is inviting EACD Members to the next EU Institutions Working Group meeting to explore this question with our speaker: Ms. Carmen Preising, Head of Unit, Work Programme and Stakeholder Consultation, Secretariat General, European Commission.
The meeting will take place on Monday, 14 September from 16:00 to 18:00 at the Berlaymont building, Rue de la Loi 200, 1049 Brussels.
Registration deadline is September 10 2015. The meeting will be held under Chatham House rules. For security reasons all participants not working in EU institutions will be asked to provide their full name, nationality, birth date and ID number before the event.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to our next working group meeting.
