Dr. Herbert Heitmann was, until recently, the Executive Vice President of Global Brand, Communications and Government Relations for Bayer AG. Before that, he was responsible for the brand and reputation as well as local stakeholder engagement for Royal Dutch Shell plc as its Executive Vice President of External Communications. Prior to taking up that position, he was the Chief Communications Officer at SAP from 1999 to 2010. In this role, he was responsible for all of the communication activities for SAP stakeholders around the globe, including investors, customers, governments, partners, employees and the general public. He is also a member of board of trustees of the Arthur W. Page Society, a committee member of The Seminar and the founding President of the European Association of Communication Directors since 2006.
