Médard is Head of Group Internal Communications at Credit Suisse, based in Zurich, Switzerland. Before joining Credit Suisse in 2017, he was Global Head of Communications at HSBC in London. Prior to rejoining the financial services industry in 2012, Médard spent a decade in the chemicals sector, leading global external communications for agricultural inputs producer Syngenta, from Basel, Switzerland, and for Royal DSM, the Dutch high-performance materials and life sciences group. He started his career in communications in 2001 with Hill&Knowlton, as practice leader for its Financial Communications & IR Advisory practice in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Prior to this, Médard was a banker at ABN Amro Bank from 1995-2001, where he held several commercial and investment banking roles in Amsterdam and London. He holds an MBA and an MSc in Business Economics from Nyenrode Business Universiteit, the Netherlands.

Médard has been a long-time member of the EACD. Current and previous roles in the Association include Regional coordinator for Switzerland, Finance and Insurance working group coordinator, Measurement and Evaluation working group coordinator, Regulatory & Risk Communications Working Group coordinator, Mentoring Programme coordinator and Steering Committee member of The Circle. He was a speaker and panelist at several European Communication Summits.
