EACD board member Dr. Edna Ayme-Yahil has been appointed Head of Communications at the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP), an international organisation based in The Hague, the Netherlands.
Prior to joining the ICMP, Edna was Head of Communications at EIT Digital. Previously, she has held various global communications roles at Nissan, STMicroelectronics, Philip Morris International and UNESCO and was a consultant for the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development. She has also taught communications and history at the University of California Los Angeles, University of Arkansas, University of Paris, and Washington State University.
The ICMP’s mandate is to secure the cooperation of governments and others in locating and identifying missing persons from conflict, human rights abuses, disasters, organised crime, irregular migration and other causes and to assist them in doing so. It is the only international organisation tasked exclusively to work on the issue of missing persons.
